Lilia Bernstein is an actress, singer, and dancer based in San Francisco who loves nothing more than to perform. Those who have worked with Lilia comment on her great passion for acting and singing and her funny sense of humor. She has made her friends and family laugh practically since she was born -her sense of humor has always been beyond her years. Lilia’s experience includes several professional, regional and community theater productions in the Bay Area including It’s a Wonderful Life at San Francisco Opera, A Christmas Carol at American Conservatory Theater, the title role in Matilda at Spark of Creation, Pepper in Annie Warbucks at Landmark Musical Theater, and Summer Hathaway in School of Rock at Spindrift Performing Arts. This past holiday season, Lilia had the opportunity to perform in A Charlie Brown Christmas with the SF Symphony. In 2022 she performed in her first and second straight plays, including the roles of Emily and Melissa in Roe and the role of “Girl” in Blackbird directed by Rob Zimmerman at Firescape Theater Company. Lilia had been studying classical and musical theater voice with Amelia DeMayo’s group since the age of 8. She studies tap (her favorite!), jazz, acting and improv on a regular basis as well, and plays the ukulele and the guitar. Lilia is a student at Ruth Asawa School of the Arts in the musical theater department. She is looking forward to performing in her first SOTA musical this Spring, The Addams Family!
